World Parkinson’s Day – April 11, 2026
On Saturday, April 11, in recognition of World Parkinson’s Day, we will offer introductory sessions for Pedaling for Parkinson’s™ for individuals with Parkinson’s disease and other neuromuscular disorders. Try Pedaling for Parkinson’s in a supportive, beginner-friendly setting.

Time: 10:30-11 a.m. or 11:15-11:45 a.m.
Caregivers welcome.Registration is required. Maximum of 15 participants per class.
Our team will also be available from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. to answer questions and provide guidance on both MyFitRx® and small group personal training options. MyFitRx is an eight-week, medically integrated program led by certified fitness specialists, designed to support your progress through personalized plans, fitness assessments, and full access to our facility.
Small group personal training (two to four participants), provides a supportive and closely supervised setting, especially beneficial for individuals with neuromuscular conditions such as Parkinson’s disease. These sessions can focus on improving strength, balance, coordination, and functional movement, while fostering connection, confidence, and encouragement among participants with similar needs and goals.
Parkinson’s Awareness Month
April is a time to better understand Parkinson’s disease, a neurological condition that can affect movement, balance, and coordination. CDPHP® Fitness ConnectSM at the Ciccotti Center offers two FREE classes, open to both members and non-members for individuals with Parkinson’s disease and other neuromuscular conditions.
Dance Beyond Parkinson’s
Join an inclusive program designed for individuals at any stage of their journey, whether recently diagnosed, highly active, using a wheelchair, or anywhere in between. Participants can move at their own pace while having fun, with guidance from an instructor. Rachelle is a board-certified dance and movement therapist, NYS-licensed creative arts therapist, dancer, and choreographer.

Pedaling for Parkinson’s
Research suggests that cycling may offer a wide range of benefits, including support for motor function, balance, and gait. This class is adaptable to a variety of ability levels and stages of Parkinson’s. Our certified instructors can provide guidance and encouragement, with training focused on supporting the unique needs of their rider community.
